Profile

Neil is recognised by both of the main independent legal directories as a leading silk in public inquiry, administrative law and professional discipline work. He also has extensive experience in clinical negligence, health and safety and personal injury work.  He has a particular interest in the commercial aspects of healthcare law.

Neil was counsel to the Climbie Inquiry, acted for two hundred soldier witnesses in the Baha Mousa Inquiry, for the security service in the 7/7 inquest and for the Metropolitan Police in the Leveson Inquiry.  He is presently acting for the Secretary of State in the Litvinenko Inquest and soldier witnesses in the Al Sweady Inquiry.  He acted for the NHS in the Royal Brompton Judicial Review. 

He acts for both Claimants and Defendants in substantial clinical negligence disputes
