Tonight’s the night for the Bar Pro Bono Awards - Nov 2020
Tom accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ work and is developing a broad practice. He appears in courts and tribunals on behalf of both Claimants and Defendants in a range of hearings. He joined Chambers as a tenant in September 2019 after 12 months of pupillage at 1COR.
Tom studied with a Scholarship for an undergraduate degree in History and Modern Languages from Pembroke College, Oxford, where he was also awarded a Heath Harrison Travelling Scholarship. During his subsequent legal studies he worked with the School Exclusions Project, and with death penalty abolitionist charity Reprieve on preparation for strategic litigation in Pakistan.
Prior to joining 1 Crown Office Row, Tom worked at a homeless shelter in London, and as a Parliamentary caseworker for an MP.
He is jointly nominated for Advocate’s Young Pro Bono Barrister of the Year Award.
