What is a barrister? 1COR hosts Sutton Trust Pathways to Law students to give them a glimpse into life at the Bar.
1COR, led by Head of Outreach Jo Moore, welcomes Sutton Trust students to learn about life at the Bar as part of their Pathways to Law Programme.
Five students on the Pathways to Law programme will spend three days in chambers. Fourteen members of 1COR are running a variety of sessions to develop the students’ advocacy skills, build confidence, and provide an insight into the daily life of a barrister. Students will get to tour the Inns of Court and see barristers in action in the Old Bailey. At the end of the programme, the students will take part in a mock trial to try out their new skills, complete with wigs and gowns!
1COR is delighted to work in partnership with the Sutton Trust to provide a valuable experience to these future lawyers.
