Law Pod UK Ep. 183: Multi-defendant cases: the more the merrier? - Apr 2023
Inquests
Matthew has an extremely busy practice in the field of coronial law and inquests. He has extensive experience of acting for a range of parties, including aggrieved families, prisons, NHS Trusts and individual clinicians. Recently, Matthew represented a Resident Medical Officer at an inquest into the death of a young mother after plastic surgery.
His past experience includes appearances in large-scale and complex inquests. In particular, the inquest into the Guildford Pub Bombings led by Oliver Sanders QC as Counsel to the Inquest. Between 2013 and 2015, Matthew acted for the families of four British residents who were tragically killed in the terrorist attacks on the In Amenas gas production facility in Algeria. Matthew was led by Sir Neil Garnham.
