1 Crown Office Row (Brighton) invite applications for a 3rd Six Pupil to join our successful and highly regarded Civil Team. Applicants should be able to demonstrate an interest and experience in the core areas of practice of our civil team, and should be keen to establish themselves on the South Eastern Circuit.
Chambers has a large amount of junior civil work available, including trials in small claims and fast track matters, civil applications on behalf of a number of police forces and the opportunity to be seconded for up to two days a week to one of chambers’ largest civil client’s in house litigation team.
Although no guaranteed earnings are offered, chambers recent history of both its 2nd six pupils and junior tenants, as well as the volume of work currently available shows that for a 3rd six period you can expect to earn in excess of £25,000, and no chambers rent is payable throughout this period.
The successful applicant will be assigned a mentor who will support them during their 3rd Six. It is our intention to offer the opportunity to apply for tenancy upon successful completion of the 3rd Six. We emphasise that chambers has already taken the business decision to recruit a 3rd six pupil, with a view to tenancy. We have an excellent record of giving tenancies to the pupils we recruit.
