A conference was held on 14th September in Brighton for local authority lawyers practicing in the field of education.
The main speaker at the event was Amelia Walker who gave a case update and then spoke about “identifying SEN”.
The Special Guest Speaker was Adam Wagner (the founder of Rightsinfo) who delivered a paper entitled The lesser spotted Article 2 of Protocol 1 dealing with the significance of the European Convention of Human Rights in schools.
Richard Ager spoke about capacity and the conference closed with a session on radicalisation, schools and the law led by Martin Downs.
