Four members of chambers from the civil and criminal teams – Paul Ashwell, Simon Sinnatt, Christine Henson and Francesca Lewington – gave a seminar for the Worthing Law Society on 10th May 2012 on the topic of Client Care, Confidentiality and Chinese Walls.

This event followed two high-profile cases in Chambers, where instructed junior counsel for the opposing sides were Paul and Simon in one instance and Christine and Francesca in the other. The Members drew on their experiences to give an interesting and informative talk with a run-through of the current law relating to Chinese Walls and confidentiality.

The ability of Members to draw on experience drawn from both civil and criminal cases to illustrate their talk underlined the advantages of Chambers’ common law heritage with its Members currently practising in a wide range of civil, criminal and family law.
