We shall be holding a seminar in Chambers on practice in the Court of Protection from 5pm to 6:30pm on 12 May to be given by Richard Ager and Charlotte John. The seminar will be followed by a drinks reception in Chambers afterwards to give attendees the opportunity to meet the speakers and other members of Chambers.

The Mental Capacity Act 2005 significantly changed the law on capacity and the court’s powers where an adult lacks capacity. The 2007 Act introduced new provisions on deprivation of liberty. This seminar is designed to give the busy practitioner an outline of the options available in both situations and will be of interest to family practitioners and private client advisors.

The seminar is registered for 1.5 CPD points and will cost £15.
