Gemma Welling is our Practice Manager and joined chambers in January 2017 after moving on from her previous job with a jeweller, and completing her A Levels from Lewes College in English Literature & Language, Geography and Photography.
Gemma’s current role in Chambers sees her dealing with the day-to-day management of the diary, allocation of new work and fee negotiations. She has undertaken Public Access training so also clerks Direct Access cases; dealing with new enquiries and potential clients.
She enjoys attending networking events to build/maintain relationships with our new and existing clients.
Gemma is a member of the Institute of Barristers Clerks.
Outside of Chambers, Gemma has a love of all things on stage, be that Musicals, Stand-Up comedy or Plays. She also enjoys eating out, trying all the go-to spots in Brighton, and dabbles in baking from time to time (often inspired by The Great British Bake Off!). Gemma likes to spend time with her family, friends, and Boyfriend, and can usually be found at a village Cricket green somewhere in Sussex during the Summer months.
