Gemma Welling is our Practice Manager and joined chambers in January 2017 after moving on from her previous job with a jeweller, and completing her A Levels from Lewes College in English Literature & Language, Geography and Photography.
Gemma’s current role in Chambers sees her dealing with day to day diary management, allocation of new work, fee negotiation and obtaining the listings for upcoming court hearings. Gemma has completed her Public Access training, and so also now clerks Direct Access cases, dealing with new enquiries and potential clients. Gemma is also a member of the Institute of Barristers Clerks.
Outside of Chambers, Gemma enjoys spending time with family, friends and her boyfriend. She has a passion for baking, which is something that grew during Lockdown, and often brings in baked treats for her colleagues to try. Gemma also has a love of Musicals, making time to go to the Theatre whenever possible.
