After 43 years at the Bar, and over 41 years as a member of 1COR, we are sad to announce that James King-Smith has retired from 1 Crown Office Row Brighton. James served as Head of One Crown Office Row’s Brighton Annexe from October 2002 to October 2016, and his practice evolved over the years from that of a general common lawyer to that of a highly regarded specialist in financial remedy and financial provision claims.
Simon Sinnatt, current Head of 1COR’s Brighton Annexe said: “James deserves much credit for how strong and vibrant Chambers is today and we will endeavour to build on the foundations he has laid and honour the integrity and kindness of his leadership over the years.”
James will be sorely missed, and we wish him a wonderful retirement!
