The Civil Team at 1COR Brighton are recruiting up to two third six pupils.
1COR Brighton are a long-established common law set and the annexe of 1COR London, with a combined total membership of 125 barristers. 1COR Brighton have an excellent reputation as a regional set with a number of members consistently ranking highly in the legal directories. We have a substantial flow of junior work in areas such as personal injury, contract disputes, property, landlord & tenant, trusts of land, inheritance and public utilities. Candidates can expect to attend court regularly from the outset. In-house opportunities exist for candidates with suitable experience.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate a solid grounding in civil litigation and be committed to developing a successful specialist civil practice.
Whilst the focus of the vacancies is civil litigation, candidates who have general common law experience will also be considered for one of the two vacancies as there is scope for suitable candidates to cover family and criminal work from time to time should they be interested in doing so.
