Last Saturday, David Bingham kicked off the Institute of Barrister’s Clerks (IBC) 2018 Conference as Conference Chair to approximately 100 clerks from throughout the UK. Each year the IBC hold a conference with workshops and panel discussions to support all aspects of the clerking role. This year, workshops focused on transforming the profession and modernisation with workshops on Networking, Digital Marketing and Mental Health First Aid, amongst other topics. 1COR’s David Lewis-Hall and Charlotte Morrish also talked through the entire litigation process in Workshop D, a Step by Step Guide to Civil and Criminal Litigation in Workshop D. The response was very positive and we are looking forward to learning more and catching up next year.
