Following an historic ruling, the Crown Court heard a series of historic rape allegations against an elderly Defendant whilst only sitting for 90 minutes a day.
Mr Julian Dale persuaded His Honour Judge Scott-Gall to follow the recommendation of Consultant Geriatrician Dr Mucci (from the Spire Hospital in Hastings) to allow an elderly and severely fragile Defendant, Mr Norman Askew to sit between 2pm and 3.30pm each day.
This allowed the Defendant to have the medication required to alleviate the symptoms of various progressive medical conditions, and to follow the court proceedings.
