The Brook House Inquiry, chaired by Kate Eves, was set up to investigate the decisions, actions and circumstances surrounding the mistreatment of individuals detained at Brook House Immigration Removal Centre (IRC), as shown in the BBC Panorama programme “Under-Cover: Britain’s Immigration Secrets”. The Brook House Inquiry’s first phase of hearings will commence on the 23 November 2021. Hearings will be held in the International Dispute Resolution Centre (IDRC), and streamed on the Inquiry’s YouTube channel.
Jo Moore is one of a team of counsel to the Inquiry, led by Brian Altman QC and instructed by Ellis Pinnell. Alice Kuzmenko is instructed by the Inquiry as a junior junior. Amy Mannion and Jonathan Metzer are representing HM Inspectorate of Prisons, which independently scrutinises conditions in Immigration Removal Centres through inspection visits.
