The Brook House Inquiry, chaired by Kate Eves, has today released its report. The Inquiry hearings took place over a number of months in 2021 and 2022.

The Inquiry was set up to investigate the mistreatment of individuals detained at Brook House Immigration Removal Centre (IRC), as shown in the BBC Panorama programme “Under-Cover: Britain’s Immigration Secrets”.

Jo Moore was one of a team of counsel to the Inquiry, led by Brian Altman KC and instructed by Ellis Pinnell. Alice Kuzmenko was also instructed by the Inquiry, as a junior junior.

Amy Mannion and Jonathan Metzer represented HM Inspectorate of Prisons, which independently scrutinises conditions in Immigration Removal Centres through inspection visits. Amy and Jonathan were instructed by Kim Davis.
