Richard Booth KC, instructed by Adam Flacks and Teona Phatsatsia of LK Law via a pro bono referral from Sport Resolutions, recently represented a work rider charged with a betting offence before the Judicial Panel of the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) in BHA v M & Others in a hearing which lasted 3 days between November 2023 and January 2024.
Following Richard’s cross-examination of a successful racehorse trainer, and after hearing evidence from the work rider, the Judicial Panel found that the charge had not been proved.
