The Senior Coroner of Brighton and Hove and West Sussex has concluded an Inquest into the death of Asiah Kudi who died in 2019 aged 20 months and whose mother pleaded guilty to manslaughter in 2021. The Inquest took place at the University of Sussex.
HM Senior Coroner Penny Schofield determined that neither the systemic nor operational duties pursuant to Art 2 applied in this case and additionally declined to make a report to prevent future death in the light of the work that had already been undertaken by the Safeguarding Board.
