Congratulations to Oliver Sanders QC who was called to the Bar of Northern Ireland via a remote ceremony today, Friday 23rd October 2020.

Oliver’s connections with Northern Ireland date back to his work on the Peace Process as a Legal Adviser to the Northern Ireland Office in 1998-1999 and he is delighted to have become a member of the Bar there. He is currently retained to advise the Operation Kenova independent police investigation into legacy cases arising out of the Northern Ireland Troubles.

Oliver has a wide experience and expertise in public law and human rights, including judicial reviews, damages claims and statutory appeals; information rights, including data protection, freedom of information, breach of confidence and misuse of private information; national security and extremism; inquests and inquiries; contempt of court; and the Equality Act 2010.
