Henry Witcomb QC represented a man who suffers from PTSD as a result of sexual abuse in his early teens. He was instructed by Alison Millar and Catriona Rubens of Leigh Day.

The abuse was carried out at boarding school by a teacher (X) in the late 1970s who was convicted of sexual offences involving the claimant and others in 2016. A psychiatric expert diagnosed the Claimant as suffering from permanent PTSD arising from the abuse which has affected his life significantly. The Claimant brought a case against the school, who accepted that they were vicariously liable. The case was settled for £540,500.
