Kieran Coonan is defending the vet, James Main, in a disciplinary hearing before the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons regarding his administration of tranexamic acid to the mare Moonlit Path, owned by the Queen, a few hours before a race at Huntingdon in February 2009. The trainer, Nicky Henderson, has told the hearing that he did not know at the time that the acid was a banned substance.
