Rajkiran Barhey and Lucy McCann, instructed pro bono by Emma Montlake of the Environmental Law Foundation (ELF), are representing the Isleworth Society, a local residents’ society, in this planning inquiry.

The inquiry concerns an application by the Duke of Northumberland to build 80 flats on a piece of allotment land owned by the Duke. The land is designed as Local Open Space and is located within a Conservation Area. The London Borough of Hounslow previously denied planning permission.

This follows a previous planning inquiry in 2018 for a similar, larger, development, which was unsuccessful.
