Natasha appears today in the hearing of the Cabinet Office’s claim for judicial review brought against the Covid-19 Inquiry. The Cabinet Office challenges the lawfulness of the Inquiry’s Notice requiring it to provide unredacted copies of WhatsApp conversations between senior officials involved in the Government’s Covid-19 response, along with notebooks belonging to Boris Johnson. The Cabinet Office argues that the Inquiry has no power to issue the Notice as some of the documents sought are ‘unambiguously irrelevant’ to the Inquiry.
Natasha Barnes is instructed as junior counsel to the Inquiry.
