Oliver Sanders is acting for the Ministry of Defence in a breach of contract claim against Colin Maclachlan. Mr Maclachlan is a former SAS member who has appeared on Channel 4 and Channel 5 and whose memoir, “The Pilgrim”, was due to be published by HarperCollins on 17 November 2016.
Following a hearing in the High Court on 15-16 November 2016, Mr Justice Kerr granted an interim injunction restraining publication or disclosure of, amongst other things, the book, pending a further hearing in the new year.
Oliver was instructed by the Government Legal Department. Mr Maclachlan was represented by Hugh Tomlinson QC and Sara Mansoori of Matrix Chambers, instructed by Tamsin Allen of Bindmans.
