Our Brighton Chambers hosted their annual beach volleyball tournament on 3 July and, for the first time, we sent a team from London to participate. We were not last but were some way off winning!
This year’s event and the new trophy were dedicated to Ghulam Hussain, our friend and fellow barrister in Brighton who sadly passed away earlier this year. The ‘Ghulam Hussain Cup’ was won by Old Bailey Criminal Defence Solicitors, based in Haywards Heath.
17 teams mainly of local solicitors took part in the tournament this year and raised ｣2,550 for Rockinghorse Children’s Charity, bringing the total raised for the Brighton-based charity to ｣9,900 from this event over the last three years.
