Tommy Hollis died in February 2010 when a lamppost fell on him while he was out with his nanny outside Chiswick Town Hall. The support structure for the lamp post was cut by a McNicholas worker days before the incident which killed Tommy and also injured a grandmother standing nearby.

Owain Thomas represented Tommy’s family in an inquest into his death. The inquest jury returned a verdict of accidental death, the Coroner noting that this was quite separate from ongoing civil and criminal investigations.
