Tom has a busy practice in all areas of Chambers’ work, with a particular emphasis on clinical negligence, personal injury (including abuse), inquests and inquiries, and various areas of public law and human rights.

He has experience acting in high-value and/or complex cases, led by silks in Chambers and in his own right.

Tom appears in the High Court, the County Court and the Coroner’s Court, and has acted in cases up to and including the Court of Appeal.

He is recognised by the Legal 500 as a rising star in Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury, Industrial Disease and Fraud.

Tom studied with a Scholarship for an undergraduate degree in History and Modern Languages from Pembroke College, Oxford, where he was also awarded a Heath Harrison Travelling Scholarship. During his subsequent legal studies he worked with the School Exclusions Project, and with death penalty abolitionist charity Reprieve on preparation for strategic litigation in Pakistan.

Before joining 1 Crown Office Row, Tom worked at a homeless shelter in London, and as a Parliamentary caseworker for an MP.
