Thomas Beamont has joined chambers as a tenant following the completion of his pupillage and accepts instruction in all areas of chambers work.
During his legal studies Thomas volunteered with the School Exclusions Project, and worked with the death penalty abolitionist charity Reprieve on preparation for strategic litigation in Pakistan. He also worked as a paralegal at an immigration law firm, assisting with the preparation of asylum claims and judicial review. Thomas has written for the UK Human Rights Blog, and for the immigration law website Free Movement.
Thomas studied with a Scholarship for an undergraduate degree in History and Modern Languages from Pembroke College, Oxford, where he was also awarded the Heath Harrison Travelling Scholarship. Thomas speaks French, and has worked as a Research Intern for a private client law firm in Paris.
Prior to pupillage Thomas worked at a homeless shelter in London, and as a Parliamentary caseworker for an MP.
