Shaheen is one of the KCs currently appointed as Counsel to the UK Covid-19 Inquiry.

She acted as Chair of the charity Birthrights’ private Inquiry on Racial Injustice in UK Maternity Services.

Shaheen was instructed on behalf of a Professor of Haematology in the Infected Blood Inquiry.

Shaheen was jointly instructed to advise the Patients Association and AVMA and to represent them at the opening hearing of the Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust Public Inquiry.
