Lucy joined Chambers as a tenant in September 2022, following the successful completion of her pupillage at 1COR. During pupillage she was supervised by Shahram Sharghy, Alasdair Henderson, Richard Mumford and Matthew Hill.
Lucy is developing a broad practice and welcomes instructions across the full spectrum of Chambers’ practice areas. Her practice includes a wide range of pleadings and advisory work, and she has appeared as sole counsel in the High Court, County Court and Employment Tribunal.
Prior to commencing pupillage, Lucy edited OUP’s practitioner text, Judicial Review: Principles and Procedure (2nd ed forthcoming 2022) and was a visiting lecturer in public law at City Law School. During her legal studies, Lucy volunteered for the School Exclusion Project, representing pupils appealing their exclusion from school.
Before coming to the Bar, Lucy worked as a caseworker for an MP and as a Research Associate for the United Nations Development Programme in Jerusalem. She also taught in refugee camps and educational partnerships in Palestine.
