Hannah Saxena joined 1COR in November 2025 from another civil set. She is a Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury specialist, instructed by both claimants and defendants. She regularly appears against leading counsel in interim hearings, joint settlement meetings (JSMs), and mediations. Her expertise is recognised by both Chambers & Partners and the Legal 500, who have ranked her for several years in Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury.
Hannah’s cases span the breadth of PI and clinical negligence but she has particular experience in cases involving spinal cord injury and delayed diagnosis of cauda equina syndrome as well as catastrophic injuries sustained by children.
Hannah is aware of the practicalities of decisions that need to be made by her clients and ensures that she is equipping them with enough information to make those decisions. She is regularly instructed in cases of significant complexity with issues surrounding accommodation, care, life expectancy and pension loss.
Clinical NegligenceHannah undertakes high-value clinical negligence work, primarily in the High Court. She acts for both claimants and defendants, which gives her a balanced perspective and strengthens her strategic insight across complex cases.
Hannah has a particular expertise in cauda equina claims and birth injury claims. Her ongoing cases also include delayed cancer diagnosis, failure to diagnose brain injury and stroke and failure to obtain informed consent.
Hannah is experienced at dealing with experts in conference and cross examination. She has an interest in difficult quantum issues including deputyship costs, accommodation, large care packages, life expectancy and pension loss.

Selected Cases
- EXK: Hannah represented an NHS Trust and settled a claim where the claimant was claiming over £2 million for delay in diagnosing and treating a sub-arachnoid haemorrhage because the hospital did not insist on performing a lumbar puncture and let the claimant leave hospital against medical advice after a clear CT scan. An official translator was not used and the claimant didn’t speak English. The case was complicated by fact that Neuroradiologists could not agree on whether claimant had even sustained a SAH.
- EXM: Hannah acted for claimant in a delayed diagnosis of cauda equina syndrome case. Claimed that delay of 17 days resulted in significant ongoing incontinence and neuropathic pain. Complicated by fact that the claimant was already off sick with FND and said to be considering medical retirement. Breach of duty and causation were in issue. Settled at RTM.
- SCX: Delayed diagnosis of cauda equina for a young claimant who had pre-existing psychiatric issues. Claimant is now unable to work, incontinent of urine and requiring significant assistance and alternative accommodation. Hannah acted for the NHS Trust and obtained a good settlement.
- LXA: Hannah is acting for an NHS Trust in a case where claimant developed neurological injury and then chronic pain/FND after being allegedly incorrectly supported by shoulder straps during surgery. Settled liability at RTM.
- MXA: Claim for delayed diagnosis of cauda equina syndrome pleaded at over £3 million where significant issues over life expectancy, causation and whether claimant would become wheelchair dependent and need new accommodation. Hannah acted for the NHS Trust and settled the claim at RTM.
Hannah is instructed in a range of multi track matters in the High Court and County Court. Her ongoing cases include brain injury claims, spinal injury claims, fatal asbestosis and mesothelioma claims, amputation claims, chronic pain claims where surveillance evidence is being used, claims with complex causation arguments and claims where fraud or fundamental dishonesty is being alleged.
Hannah has extensive experience in catastrophic injury litigation, particularly where quantum is highly complex. She is also well-versed in challenging liability disputes and the analysis of intricate expert evidence.
She has a particular interest in catastrophic injury claims involving children and is experienced in managing these cases from the earliest stages through to settlement.

Hannah has significant experience in dealing with cross border personal injury claims. She conducts a range of high value international claims and travel law claims. Her international work includes claims pleaded in the millions of pounds.
She undertakes work where there are complicated jurisdictional, limitation and service issues and has experience of cases brought under the Athens and Montreal conventions as well as aviation claims. She has experience of witnesses and experts giving evidence from abroad. As well as paperwork and conferences with experts across a number of disciplines she regularly attends trials, applications, CCMCs as well as undertaking mediations and JSMs.
