Gideon was instructed by HMRC in an appeal to the First-tier Tribunal (Tax Chamber) relating to authorisation under the WOWGR legislation (Whittalls Wines Limited and Another v HMRC [2018] UKFTT 0036(TC)). He was led by Stephen Nathan QC and Isabel McArdle.
He also has experience of cases involving MTIC frauds and the ‘fall-back’ provisions.
