Emma has a busy practice in personal injury, and particular expertise in claims involving gender based violence and claims involving allegations of fundamental dishonesty.

Selected Cases

  • O’Connell v Ministry of Defence [2025] EWHC 2301 (KB). Following a two week trial, represented the successful party in a claim involving allegations of fundamental dishonesty. See here for further details.
  • Represented several victims of the Beirut Port Explosion, securing a judgment awarding them £850,000 in damages, led by Neil Hart KC. See here for further details.
  • KD v Gaisford [2019] EWHC 3722 (QB). Successfully resisted an application to set aside a judgment for damages, acting on behalf of a survivor of child sex abuse. Click here for further details.
  • Succeeded in damages claim for a survivor of child abuse. Click here for further details.
  • Instructed by HMRC on an ongoing-basis to advise on personal injury claims arising out of accidents involving employees across the Government Estate.
  • TBS v Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis [2017] EWHC 3094 (QB). Acted in the civil litigation arising out of the Undercover Policing Inquiry, led by Peter Skelton KC.
