Alice is a case presenter on behalf of the Nursing and Midwifery Council in a group of cases arising out of suspected fraudulent exam-results undertaken at the Yunnik Technologies Test Centre, Ibadan, Nigeria. She is part of a team of barristers undertaking such cases against 48 NMC Registrants, the first of which took place in March 2024.

Selected Cases

  • NMC v Akinola (2024): succeeding in proving charges of fraudulent entry, leading to removal of Ms Akinola’s entry on the NMC Register and an interim suspension order.
  • NMC v Gbenro (2024): successful application for hearsay evidence, and succeeding in proving charges of fraudulent entry. A colleague dealt with the subsequent directions.
