Alasdair represents a wide range of both claimants and defendants in matters relating to data protection, confidentiality and misuse of private information.

Recent cases have included advice on the application of the Data Protection Act and GDPR in the context of child maintenance, the extent to which ‘the right to be forgotten’ applies to healthcare providers, and the appropriate balance between confidentiality and transparency when investigating allegations of workplace harassment.

Alasdair has been involved in numerous cases involving the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act. He also has experience in cases involving the Freedom of Information Act and has acted in several appeals against decisions of the Information Commissioner before the First-tier Tribunal (General Regulatory Chamber).
