We are delighted to announce that, from 1st October, Henry Witcomb KC and Clodagh Bradley KC will become Joint Heads of Chambers. Henry and Clodagh will be the first Joint Heads of Chambers in 1COR’s history, and Clodagh will be our first female Head of Chambers. Both have already demonstrated exceptional leadership and provided invaluable support to members and staff alike. We look forward to seeing Chambers continue to thrive under their joint leadership.
Henry Witcomb KC specialises in clinical negligence, personal injury, public authority liability and inquest representation. Widely recognised as a leading silk in these areas, he was awarded Clinical Negligence Silk of the Year at the Chambers UK Bar Awards 2025. He has been described as “an extremely efficient advocate who gets points across. Judges listen and he is an expert in his field” and as “kind and empathetic.”
Clodagh Bradley KC specialises in clinical negligence, inquests involving medical and psychiatric issues, and healthcare regulatory law. Recognised as a leading silk by both Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 across all three of her core practice areas, she is praised for her advocacy, judgement and client care. She has been described as “brilliant with clients, thoughtful and gives sound advice. Her judgement can be trusted. She is an excellent advocate” and “a fantastic KC. She is so reassuring.”
Henry & Clodagh succeed Richard Booth KC, who has led Chambers with distinction for the past eight years, including through the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. Elected Head of Chambers in 2018, following Philip Havers KC, Richard has overseen a period of significant growth, with Chambers expanding from 68 to 85 members in London and from 55 to 60 members in Brighton. Richard will now focus on his thriving and highly regarded practice.
On their appointment, Henry and Clodagh said:
“We wish to voice Chambers’ gratitude and thanks to Richard for his measured leadership, sound judgement, kindness to all, and unwavering support for both members and staff, all of which have been instrumental to Chambers’ success. We feel truly honoured and privileged to have been entrusted with this role and to continue Richard’s good work. We will ensure that excellence remains the foundation of all services provided by 1COR members and staff. This will be fostered within 1COR’s long-recognised friendly, approachable environment that champions Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, alongside Wellbeing.”
