We are delighted to announce that Matthew Donmall has been appointed as a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Tax Chamber. The appointment will take effect from 23rd February, and Matthew will be known as Judge Donmall.
Matthew was called to the Bar in 2006 and joined Chambers in 2007. His practice has focused on all areas of indirect taxation, including VAT, import and customs duties, excise duties, gaming duties, and the intersection between tax law and public law. He has appeared in tribunals and courts up to and including the Supreme Court.
He was recognised as a leading junior in Tax: VAT and Excise and Valuation & Rating by The Legal 500, and he served on the Attorney General’s A Panel of Counsel.
