Shaheen Rahman KC and Emma-Louise Fenelon represented the family of Daniela Espirito Santo at an inquest before Senior Coroner Paul Smith at Lincolnshire Coroner’s Court.
The jury found that Daniela had been unlawfully killed, and that there had been a failure to carry out a full investigation of all the available evidence. The jury further found that if this had taken place, Daniela’s former partner on balance would have remained in custody. In their narrative conclusion the jury made 11 specific critical findings of Lincolnshire Police.
