Neil Sheldon KC acted for Jeremy Kyle in the inquest into the death of Steve Dymond, who took his own life a few days after appearing on the Jeremy Kyle Show in May 2019. Mr Kyle was made an interested person by the Coroner on the basis that he may have caused or contributed to the death. The Inquest concluded yesterday with a finding by the Coroner that neither Mr Dymond’s appearance on the show, nor his treatment by Mr Kyle, played any causative role in his death. The Coroner returned a conclusion of suicide and attributed the deterioration in Mr Dymond’s state of mind to the breakdown of his relationship against the background of longstanding mental illness.
