Sir Brian Langstaff will today publish the Final Report of the Infected Blood Inquiry.

The Inquiry, which has lasted six years, has examined what has been described as “the worst treatment disaster in the history of the NHS”. Thousands of patients were infected with viruses including Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and HIV through the transfusion of infected blood and blood products.

A number of members of Chambers were involved in the Inquiry. Matthew Hill and Michael Deacon acted as Counsel to the Inquiry, while the following represented Core Participants and witnesses: Jeremy Hyam KC, Peter Skelton KC, Shaheen Rahman KC, Neil Sheldon KC, Andrew Kennedy KC, David Manknell KC, Leanne Woods, Michael Paulin, Emma-Louise Fenelon, Alice Kuzmenko, David Reader and Christian Howells.
