2022 marked 5 years since the first episode of Law Pod UK, and after 177 episodes we are delighted to have surpassed 700,000 listens this week!
Law Pod UK was one of the very first legal podcasts to be released, and has a strong following among lawyers, law students and anyone else interested in legal issues. Our two longstanding presenters Rosalind English and Emma-Louise Fenelon have hosted a number of interesting guests, including Lord Sumption, Sir Jonathan Jones KCM KC, Nazir Afzal OBE, Bill Browder, Gráinne de Búrca, Lord Anderson of Ipswich KC, Harriet Wistrich and Joshua Rozenberg, and panels involving Lord Justice Singh and Sir Steven Sedley.
The presenting team grew in 2022 with the addition of two new presenters – Jim Duffy and Lucy McCann. In Lucy’s first episode (Ep. 172) she spoke with the former Head of Chambers at 1 Crown Office Row Philip Havers KC about his experiences appearing in the appellate courts, while in Jim Duffy’s most recent episode (Ep. 170) he was joined by Executive director of Irish Rule of Law International Aonghus Kelly as he travelled to Ukraine to assist in building mechanisms to ensure a future reckoning for the war crimes of today.
