We are delighted to announce that Oliver Sanders KC has been named Lawyer of the Week by The Times.

Oliver acted for the family of 14-year-old Molly Russell at the inquest into her death. She died in 2017 after viewing extensive amounts of online content related to suicide, self-harm, and depression on social media. The inquest found that she took her own life while suffering from depression and the negative effects of this content and that it affected her mental health and contributed to her death. Oliver was instructed by Merry Varney of Leigh Day.

Oliver has a wide experience and expertise in public law and human rights, including judicial reviews, damages claims and statutory appeals; information rights, including data protection, freedom of information, breach of confidence and misuse of private information; national security and extremism; inquests and inquiries; contempt of court; and the Equality Act 2010.
