Instructed by Matthew Gold at Gold Jennings Solicitors and the Centre for Women’s Justice, Emma-Louise Fenelon is representing the family in an inquest investigating the death of Daniela Espirito Santo. Daniela reported her partner to the police 7 times before her death on 8 April 2020. Having been released on bail for attacking her earlier in the same day, she died after he assaulted her again.
At a Pre-inquest review hearing on 4 November 2021, HM Acting Senior Coroner Paul Smith in Lincolnshire Coroner’s Court held that Article 2, ECHR, was engaged.
