Last night Amy Mannion and Jo Moore, Head of Outreach, spoke on a panel with three solicitors about being a barrister at the London School of Economics (LSE) to explain the differences between the professions and differing routes to law. The audience was formed of students in year 12 and 13 currently enrolled in the Pathways to Law programme to give them a look at different legal careers they might pursue. After the panel, speakers and students had a ‘speed networking’ session in small groups to talk more about getting into law, day-to-day life at the Bar and the legal sector. The night ended with a great chat about careers over pizza and chips!

This is aimed at promoting access to the Bar through The Pathways to Law scheme and was run collaboratively with the Sutton Trust by LSE and is supported by the Legal Education Foundation. 1COR is committed to widening access to the bar through outreach events, our Assessed Mini-Pupillage and support of the Sutton Trust’s Pathways to Law programme.
