David Hart QC is making his operatic debut as Sarastro in Mozart’s ‘The Magic Flute’ at The Auden Theatre, Holt, Norfolk from 12th – 14th April.

The Magic Flute was Mozart’s last opera, and proved a huge success.
Themes of Masonry and the ideas of the Enlightenment, examining man’s relationship to reason, wisdom and nature appear throughout the opera.
The Queen of the Night convinces Prince Tamino to rescue Princess Pamina from the enlightened high priest Sarastro.
Prince Tamino and Princess Pamina face trials to prove their love for each other, along with the bird man Papageno, who searches for a happy wife which he finds in Papagena.
We look forward to hearing David’s rendition of ‘Oh Isis and Osiris’, one of the true tests of an operatic bass.
