Owain Thomas QC acted for the UK in the CJEU regarding the correct treatment of financial leasing transactions for motor vehicles with an option to purchase against Mercedes-Benz Financial Services. A request for a preliminary ruling under Article 267 TFEU was granted and the CJEU released its judgment on 4th October 2017.
The matter is now remitted back the Court of Appeal.
