1 Crown Office Row barrister Martin Downs, will be one of the team of judges at the second LSE Featherstone Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Moot in London this weekend, March 3th and 4th, 2017.

Joining Martin on the Judging panel will be Gill Phillips (Head of Editorial Legal Services at the Guardian Newspapers) and leading immigration and asylum barrister, S Chelvan amongst others.

The Featherstone moot is a legal debating competition held at the London School of Economics and Political Science and organised by Dr Andrew Scott and Ollie Persey. It is now in its second year.

The event is named in honour of Baronness LyneeFeatherstone who was one of the principal architects of the equal marriage legislation in England & Wales and commissioned the first ever UK government transgender action plan.
