Adam Wagner and Diarmuid Laffan successful in historic Supreme Court joint enterprise case.

The Supreme Court has ruled that the law of “joint enterprise” in murder cases has been wrongly applied for over 30 years. Adam Wagner and Diarmuid Laffan acted for the appellant, Ameen Jogee, in R v Jogee [2016] UKSC 8. They were led by 36 Bedford Row’s Felicity Gerry QC and instructed by Defence Law solicitors.

The case has been widely reported in the national media and is one of the key Supreme Court decisions of recent years.

Adam made oral submissions to the Court in respect of the human rights and common law illegality, which can be seen here (from 2 hrs 10 mins).
