The Senior Coroner for Birmingham has ordered West Midlands Police to disclose documents relating to any advance warnings that were received prior to the IRA pub bombings in Birmingham on 21 November 1974. Twenty-one innocent civilians died in the atrocity. Three of the families of those who died are now applying to the Coroner to resume the original inquests, which were originally adjourned in 1975 after the convictions, which were subsequently quashed by the Court of Appeal in 1991, of the Birmingham Six.

Peter Skelton appears as Counsel for the Coroner.
