Isabel McArdle is representing the family of the deceased, John Moore Robinson, and Clodagh Bradley is acting on behalf of the junior doctor at Stafford Hospital who examined the 20-year following a mountain biking accident on 1 April 2006.
He had suffered a ruptured spleen, which went undiagnosed at the point of discharge, leading to his death in the early hours of the following day. The matter was the subject of an inquest in 2007; which conclusion was quashed in 2013. A fresh inquest is taking place before the Senior Coroner for Leicester City and South Leicestershire, Mrs C E Mason.
The inquest is due to conclude on 26 September 2014.
