Neil Garnham QC, Marina Wheeler and Karwan Eskerie have secured an important victory for the NHS in a challenge to its proposals for a fundamental reorganisation of health care services in North West London.
Our team acted for NHS England and eleven North West London Clinical Commissioning Groups defending a judicial review application brought by Ealing Council against proposals known as “Shaping a Healthier Future”. The proposals entail a comprehensive reshaping of health care provision in North West London, including acute, primary and community care, and are expected to lead to significant improvements in the quality, consistency and sustainability of care available in that part of London.
Following a hearing in the High Court, on 10 October, Mitting J refused Ealing Council’s application for permission to bring a judicial review claim against the proposals.
